Nutrient Depletion From “Drugs”

This is one of my favorite subjects. This depletion of nutrients is something I learned first hand from my running program. All of us “runners” know we have to hydrate. That’s right, but too much water can also be dangerous. When running long distances it is good to use water to hydrate before the run but during the run I will usually use an “electrolyte” bar or drink to replenish what I took out of my body…sodium and potassium. We have learned a great deal in the last few years after some world class athletes have died from drinking too much water. What do think happens to your body when you put in Drugs? Because they are mostly toxic chemicals in my “God” body they interfere with the necessary nutrients that I need and are “wasted”. How do you know which one’s are being depleted? Ask your pharmacist. There is a book that has many of these listed but generally we don’t know what to do to replace CoQ-10 for instance, that is lost when you take cholesterol lowering drugs. In general, medicine and pharmacy say, “Well, we can’t use anything from a natural source or health food store because it is not FDA approved.” I suggest that we start taking a look at some of these depletions and see if we can improve our overal health by replenishing those nutrients. This is a no brainer!!! Improving your health my total commitment!!Gill Weise, Consultant Pharmacist Naturally
