Help for the cold and flu season

Cold and flu season is upon us. I’d like to make some recommendations to help get you through the season as healthily as possible.

One excellent product to use at the first signs of flu is Oscillococcinum. It’s a homeopthic remedy that has been shown to help ease the symptoms of the flu.

Also, Weise Herbal Expectorant… this is an expectorant and helps clear up your bronchial passages. this product has been around a long time and is chocked full of ingredients to help you manage your cough, cold and flu-like symptoms. It contains all natural ingredients such as horehound, cocillana bark, grape skin extract and wild cherry to assure you of getting rid of excessive phlegm without side effects. It could also be used with most Prescription medications.

I also recommend that you take some Super Bio-Plex vitamin C when you have any cold, respiratory or sinus condition. The complex I use is excellent because it contains all the necessary ingredients that your immune system needs. You need Vitamin C, the bioflavonoids, hesperidin and rutin as well. Now, that’s the way to strengthen your immune especially now during flu and cold season.

Why not add some Zinc Echinacea lozenges to soothe the throat and reduce the chances of infection. Zinc is a fantastic anti-inflamatory. It’s sugar-free and cherry flavored. You shouldn’t be without this regimen during the winter season.

Let’s face it, if we started on some sort of preventative program but also had some natural products like this available at the FIRST sign of a cold. You may just avoid that visit to the Doctor. I encourage preventative medicine. When-ever you are around people with colds or flus, it’s a very good idea to get some fresh air as soon as you can and do some deep breathing exercises. Just go outside and do it. Then have a good cup of hot or cold Gypsy Cold tea with fresh lemon and a bit of Raw natural honey from Jacksonville. This works!! There are so many products available but through the years I have found that these products seem to work well.

Exercise And Electrolytes

Did you know that drinking to much water may dilute your electrolytes and cause major shortage of electrolytes in your body? Recently, some marathon runners have died because they drank to much water while running. Many products on the market claim that they are good for hydration but sometimes the composition of the electrolytes is not correct. My father, DR. Emil Weise made an original electrolyte product now called Km,which gives fantastic levels of potassium and sodium for atheletes. I have used this product on all of my marathons. I urge you to have a short consultation with me regarding your personal needs. Call or email me and we’ll go from there. A perfectly tuned body can perform well if the needed body elements are present. Don’t forget to stretch before your exercise and cool down after your exercise. Too many people get into trouble by jumping into a hot jucuzzi after exercise which cause injury and even death. While running may not be your thing, I strongly urge you to be knowledgeable about essential suppletments and proper stretching excercises for your needs. I am here to help you..Improving your health…our total committment.

I have had numerous patients come to me saying that the medication they were taking just makes them feel so bad, so they just quit taking it. While this is not the thing to do without professional advise, they have made the decision that this is not what they want to do. The dilemma seems to be a lack of communication in the medical field. Doctors are to busy and sometimes don’t give alternatives to medications. Most pharmacists discuss medication side effects but never make recommendations regarding better eating habits or deleting bad choices. Over the years I have personally experienced what good “eating habits” are and how it benefits my body overall. Some of us may need a “life style change”. I can show you how to make some of these changes achieveable with just a little commitment to good health.
